histeps without the vertical lines

Eduardo Mezêncio
Hi! Can someone tell me how I can create a plot that is exactly like the
histeps style but without the vertical lines? I wanted only the
horizontal lines, disconnected one from the other. Thanks

Re: histeps without the vertical lines

theozh
you could use xerrorbars...

However, the following code assumes that the x-values are equidistant
with steps of 1, so the +/- xerrorbar in the third column is fix (0.5)
I am sure there must be a better solution.

$Data <<EOD
1 2
2 4
3 5
4 3
5 1
EOD

set xrange [0:6]
set yrange [0:6]
set bars 0
plot $Data u 1:2:(0.5) ps 0 with xerrorbars
