patch tabulate

Patrick Dupre
Hello,

Can some body in charge of the gnuplot update integrate the patch
https://sourceforge.net/p/gnuplot/patches/694/
It does not seems to be compatible with the last version of gnuplot.

Thank.

If you mean the last version 5.0.6,
as I wrote you could attach patch using a text editor if you carefully read the patch file and tabulate.rej.

However, I rearranged the patch and attached this mail.

BTW, as I wrote previously,
please try Karl Ratzsch's reply in
https://sourceforge.net/p/gnuplot/patches/694/

set table;set samp 10
plot "+" using 1:(sin($1)):(0.1):(sin($1)*0.2) with table

The above works without patch and it is what you want, I think.

Re: patch tabulate

Ethan attached the patch to 5.2 (Next release) and 5.3(development) CVS source.

See https://sourceforge.net/p/gnuplot/patches/694/

In order to get 5.2 branch source and preparation

cd (directory where you want to put source tree)
export CVSROOT=:pserver:[hidden email]:/cvsroot/gnuplot
cvs login
cvs -z3 checkout -r  branch-5-2-stable  gnuplot
cd gnuplot
./prepare

(Of course you need to install cvs and autotools from distro)

Sorry
Ethan prepared the patch for 5.2 and 5.3.

You need attach patch in the Ethan's reply in the tracker #694.

(Use "patch -p1" but not "patch -p0")
